As a Mobility Analyst within the McKinsey Center for Future Mobility, you will join one of three departments depending on your background:
-
Mobility Consumer Insights — Bringing the voice of the customer into strategic decision-making for leading automotive and mobility players worldwide. This includes conducting quantitative and qualitative research projects such as surveys, interviews, and focus groups, as well as analyzing consumer data from questionnaires, discussion guides, and research frameworks.
-
Mobility Components — Working at the forefront of component and technology trends critical to automotive suppliers, from autonomous driving and E/E centralization to software evolution. You'll build expertise on vehicle domains and supplier market dynamics, and project OEM production shifts around the globe, including the growing Chinese footprint in Europe.
-
Mobility Electrification and Automotive Demand — Developing forward-looking perspectives on electrification, charging infrastructure, fuel retail, and automotive demand to support strategic decision-making across the mobility ecosystem. This involves forecasting EV adoption, sales of new and used of cars/trucks, vehicle parc, and charging infrastructure development, while analyzing electrification economics, competitive dynamics, and commercial opportunities.
You will have the opportunity to work both with McKinsey experts as well as directly with clients, where you will develop and customize business insights and model outputs. This involves using latest AI tools to develop proprietary AI-driven tools for our assets and clients (e.g., Cursor).
You bring a passion for mobility and sustainability to help develop and deploy cutting-edge capabilities and market projections to support our clients. Ideally, you will also bring automotive or mobility expertise and analytical skills to bear. We expect you to develop industry-leading expertise in the above-mentioned McKinsey Center for Future Mobility knowledge domain and to participate in further building our mobility insights and tools.
This is a highly entrepreneurial role with significant space for initiative taking and personal growth.
