Your function
EGI wishes to strengthen its team working on Power System Operations, Stability and Grid Integration in the context of the accelerating energy transition and the large-scale deployment of renewable generation and inverter-based resources (IBRs).
We are looking for experienced professionals who are passionate about solving complex power system challenges and supporting transmission system operators, utilities, regulators, and developers worldwide. You will contribute to high-impact local and international projects related to renewable energy integration, grid security, system stability, and the evolution of electricity markets.
As part of a multidisciplinary team of experts, you will support clients in designing and implementing innovative solutions that ensure reliable, secure, and sustainable power systems.
Typical activities involve (but are not limited to):
- Power system modelling, validation and performance assessment;
- Steady-state studies (load flow, short-circuit calculations, contingency analysis, etc.);
- Dynamic and transient stability studies (frequency, voltage and oscillatory stability);
- Electromagnetic Transient (EMT) studies using PSCAD and other advanced simulation tools;
- Analysis of inverter-based resources (IBRs) and their integration into transmission networks;
- Grid Code compliance studies and connection assessments for renewable and conventional generation assets;
- Development of technical recommendations related to the integration of renewable energy and emerging technologies;
- Technical advisory support for business development activities, proposal preparation and client engagement.

Your profile
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics or Physics;
- More than 6 years of professional experience in power system analysis, transmission system operation, stability assessment, or renewable energy integration;
- Strong experience with power system simulation and analysis tools such as PowerFactory, PSS®E and PSCAD;
- Demonstrated expertise in inverter-based resources (IBRs) integration, system stability, and grid connection studies;
- Experience performing EMT studies and detailed PSCAD simulations is highly desirable;
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex technical findings into clear recommendations and strategic insights;
- Fluent German and English (written and spoken) are required;
- Knowledge of German Grid Codes and the German power system environment is considered a strong advantage;
