Commercial Manager – Renewable Energy – Hamburg
About the Company
Our client is a growing German renewable energy developer with a solar PV pipeline of several hundred megawatts that are now progressing towards ready-to-build status.
As the business moves towards delivering more projects internally, it is expanding its commercial capabilities to support the next stage of growth.
The Opportunity
The company is looking for a commercially minded professional to work closely with its leadership team across M&A, project transactions, PPAs, customer acquisition and financial modelling.
The position offers broad exposure across the business and the opportunity to help shape commercial processes and investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support M&A activities and renewable energy project transactions.
- Build and maintain financial models in Excel.
- Assist with PPAs, customer acquisition and commercial negotiations.
- Prepare commercial analysis and materials for management.
- Evaluate project opportunities, risks and business cases.
- Coordinate external advisers and specialist consultants.
- Improve internal processes, including through AI-based tools.
- Work across finance, sales, procurement and project development.
About You
- Experience in commercial analysis, project finance, M&A, economics or a related position.
- Strong financial knowledge and practical Excel modelling experience.
- Exposure to transactions, negotiations or commercial risk assessment.
- Understanding of renewable energy projects and development processes.
- Commercially minded, proactive and highly attentive to detail.
- Fluent German and strong English skills.
